Head-up displays

With a head-up display (HUD), all relevant information is displayed directly in the driver's field of vision. This means that the attention can be focused on the driving situation and the driver still has all the important information at his sight, such as speed, important warning messages and navigation arrows.

Precision mirrors made of coated plastic are required for windscreen or combiner HUD systems. Newly added are Augmented Reality (AR) HUD systems, which represent a further evolutionary step in driver communication.
